Artist and Educator
Eliza Sarah Patter is an artist and art educator who is dedicated to inspiring creativity and the value of unique expression and perspective.
Eliza Sarah's love of art was first sparked when studying the work of Impressionist painters and Japanese woodblock printmakers from the Edo period. Their work captured the moment, and the colours and/or effects of changing light, weather and seasons.
Eliza Sarah's passion for making art first started with printmaking and later developed into photography. Her photographic work is still inspired by the work of Impressionist painters, and other painters in the Modern era, as well as Japanese printmakers and the Japanese traditional cultural reverence for nature and natural cycles. Her work also incorporates an investigative and experimental approach to digital, analogue/film and to the medium of light itself. When using a camera, the camera functions create the image in that specific moment, therefore the images are not post-edited.
Selected photographs are printed matte and large-scale and are immersive in exhibition. Photographs are now available for purchase in a range of sizes, please contact via email or fill in the form below for further information and/or general enquiries.
